James is adopted, this he knows, but what he didn't know was that he was adopted by his paternal grandparents ( William and Mamie Pruitt ). He was raised as their own son and never told about his biological parents until now. Billy, James' father, and the Pruitt's son, left home at an early age because of the bitter and volatile relationship he had with his parents.
